WAN-IFRA

Instructor-led custom training for broadcast TV reporters. We train all Channel News Asia correspondents and their crews in the latest mobile journalism techniques with a 6-week custom masterclass with 1-1 coaching sessions.

BILD - germany

We designed a custom mobile journalism training course for BILD reporters to master the essential skills for developing and launching a new Live TV news channel in Germany.

HT Media group - India

We developed the complete mobile journalism and digital transformation training program for 600 journalists of the Hindustan Times, MINT and related verticals at this large media organization.  An intense 12-week training program kicked off the year-long training effort to drive digital transformation across their newsrooms.

UNICEF - Montenegro

We are training the next generation of mobile journalists in eastern Europe with an intensive, project-based certificate training program produced in partnership with the Thomson Reuters Foundation. The instructor-led workshops combine on-demand tutorials, several story projects and live video interactions. 

Reporter Fabrik - germany

Correctiv in Germany has licensed our Mobile Journalism Masterclass certificate course and translated the video tutorials into German. They have the exclusive right to offer it to German-speaking journalists on their Web academy

Smart Film School courses are produced by Professor Robb Montgomery in his Berlin TV studio. The video-led tutorials are broadcast quality and teachers love them because they are project- oriented and adhere to pedagogical best practices. Progress tracking and assessments are included.

This not by accident: Montgomery's is the author of the "Mobile Journalism" - the textbook used by top universities and journalism schools.

As a seasoned international journalist, Montgomery leads academic seminars, workshops, and StoryLabs with students at journalism schools in Europe, U.S.A., Asia, and the Middle East. His first professor assignment was teaching journalism courses at the Medill School of Journalism in 2003.

Montgomery has taught in more than 30 countries and is a multi-award-winning documentary filmmaker.

All of the examples shown in these courses feature his eye-catching story work filmed on assignment in more than 30 countries. Since 2007 Montgomery has been the video journalism expert most-called by the top media organizations to lead training programs and develop mobile journalism projects.

He is a former editor for the Chicago Tribune and is active in the U.S Speakers program by the U.S. State department as the world expert on mobile journalism.
